dude that's awesome that you saved that dog...i work at a couple different rescues and it's amazing how many people do this to dogs.....it's unreal that they have all the love in the world to give to you, unconditionally, and people still crap on them....

i personally love shepherds...i have a mix and and a saint bernard...but my wife's family, between all of us...have 8 shepherds and a saint...lol...when we go to our summer house it's like a fricking kennel....here are some pics....and seeing how this thread started...maybe we should have a "Man's best friend" thread!!!

i got them both as puppies...the shepherd from a rescue, the saint from a breeder just because it was my first time with saints and all....





here's one from '04.....they are obviously a LOT bigger now...haha...it's like having kids....and i live in a condo (but it's a big condo on the first floor with a patio, so i am not being cruel... )

 

We have had a few of thses threads that turn into posting picture of your pets...I love it! I haven't had a dog since I was in highschool (17 years ago). After two days with this little twerp, I am already in love. Dogs just have a different outlook on life than cats do. Dogs want to be a part of your life and they just love unconditionally...they are the best ever! Here's a couple more pics:

 

I can look at peoples dog photos all day & I'm amazed at the amount of people who will stop & talk to you when you walk your dog.
I've actually made some good friends in the neighbourhood because of it.
Here's one I took the other day when her best buddies came to visit, the little Staffi at the front is called Jasmin & she is almost blind (Genetic disorder) does not slow her down though.
The other one is of where my dog always is, when I'm on the computer, everywhere I am she is, its a great feeling to have that type of loyalty. Truth is, she is the reason I haven't done much riding since we got her last year.

At the cottage. He will jump in after that frisbeeall day. It's a little over 5' from the dock to the suface. Spenny is the neighbourhood dog. The local kids knock on our door and ask if he can come out to play. It's cute as hell

Ok, so I got called into work earlier to geta section ofstreet lights back on ( pretty important because of halloween) and I came home to this! Please know I would never,never , ever, do this to my dogs! My wife went and got these because she thought the neighbourhood kids trick or treating would get a kick out of it. Spenny looks pissed becuase he is pissed! lol I would be too.

Bwahahahaha! I find your lack of faith disturbing... OMG, that's the funniest pic of two dogs I've ever seen.

 

Actually, when I got over my initial dismay I did find it quite funny. You should see them walking around like that, it's an absolute belly laugh. And they know you're laughing at them which makes it even funnier. I just wish I could have made it home in time to see some of the kid's reaction's. Cheryl said some where priceless.
