Default Need some male input

I have to interview people about their online shopping habits/preferences for a project and since plenty of us on here do a lot of shopping (or browsing at least) i figured this would be a good place to start. Feel free to answer any or as many questions as you want......

(female members feel free to respond too i just dont have enough input from males)

1) how often do you shop online?

2)what do you usually shop for?

3)what do you like most about shopping online?

4)what do you not like/or would change about online shopping?

5)is there anything you dont shop for online that you wish you could?

6)is there anything you prefer to shop for in person instead of online or would only shop for in person and why? (or vice versa)

7)what websites or types of websites do you use or prefer (specific brand/company online stores, general online retailers, etc.)

annndd lastly....

8)When you shop online is it usually because you are looking for a specific item or do you just browse and if you come across something you like or want you buy it and what makes you make that decision to actually purchase it?

I just browse when I'm bored at work and if I come across something that I really like and it's affordable then I'll buy. The things I shop for are motorcycle gear/parts mainly with some random stuff mixed in like denver bronco merchandise and rc trucks. The thing that I and I think every guy loves about shopping online is the convenience of it. You don't have to get dressed, go out and fight the crowds, deal with annoying *** teenagers at the mall, deal with jackasses on the road, etc. The downfall is you can't see out in person, try it on or whatever and you have to wait for it to ship instead of taking it home. Also returning the item can be hassle.

1) how often do you shop online?
Bored at work or at home.

2)what do you usually shop for?
That is random. Depends on the forum that I just have been reading on.

3)what do you like most about shopping online?
Don't have to lug myself around to 9 or 10 stores to find the best price.

4)what do you not like/or would change about online shopping?
The fact I don't get the instant gratification. sure i bought it but i don't get to hold it for 7-10 business days depending on shipping.

5)is there anything you dont shop for online that you wish you could?
Nope hell there is a greater selection online then any shop you could go to and there are a ton of specialty shops that you would never find in your town. Show me one place that has an LED dealer.

6)is there anything you prefer to shop for in person instead of online or would only shop for in person and why? (or vice versa)
Cloths and beer! Its really hard to drink from my computer screen

7)what websites or types of websites do you use or prefer (specific brand/company online stores, general online retailers, etc.)
Specific sites for new and cool stuff because they are really trying to sell you thier product and you won't get the same pics as a general site. Once i found what i am looking for then general to find the best price.

8)When you shop online is it usually because you are looking for a specific item or do you just browse and if you come across something you like or want you buy it and what makes you make that decision to actually purchase it?
I am cheap and unless there giving it to me for say a buck plus shipping i not buying. I mostly just "window shop" because my budget is so tight most of the time.

I sent you a PM back by the way Nick. Lemme know if I can help.

1) how often do you shop online?

Weekly i'd say. At least every 2 weeks. Especially if you count groceries / kindle books.

2)what do you usually shop for?

Motorcycle gear / parts. Video games. Clothing. Superman paraphernalia. Books.

3)what do you like most about shopping online?

Can compare prices. Quick. Tax free most of the time.

4)what do you not like/or would change about online shopping?

Ship times, even if a day or two, are not instant, but not much you can do about that.
Can't try on sizes of things - such as motorcycle jeans.

5)is there anything you dont shop for online that you wish you could?

I don't wanna get banned again so i'll probably leave this answer blank.

6)is there anything you prefer to shop for in person instead of online or would only shop for in person and why? (or vice versa)

If I can purchase it online I usually prefer to buy it that way. Even gambling on a motorcycle helmet or something along those lines most places (like revzilla) don't charge you anything for a size exchange.

7)what websites or types of websites do you use or prefer (specific brand/company online stores, general online retailers, etc.)

Amazon.com is ****. I'm a prime member so I get free 2 day shipping on everything. A lot of stuff shows up the next day anyways. Plus I get 1 free book a month for my kindle which is also nice. You can find just about everything on this site. Even my motorcycle oil / filter.
Revzilla too

annndd lastly....

8)When you shop online is it usually because you are looking for a specific item or do you just browse and if you come across something you like or want you buy it and what makes you make that decision to actually purchase it?

I usually jump online to buy one thing, but I usually go off tangent fairly easily. I'm a fairly impulsive buyer in general. I have a problem. I own about 10,000 articles of clothing with hoods. Either Hoodies or tight henly type long sleeves with hoods to show off my sculpted pecs.

1) how often do you shop online?

A few times a year

2)what do you usually shop for?

Generally audio items (phono stylus, bluetooth headset, speakers etc.), motocycle gear, parts, computer and associated hardware.

3)what do you like most about shopping online?

I can find items not available in my small village.

4)what do you not like/or would change about online shopping?

Nothing.

5)is there anything you dont shop for online that you wish you could?

No.

6)is there anything you prefer to shop for in person instead of online or would only shop for in person and why? (or vice versa)

Clothing, although my jacket and gloves were an online purchase.

7)what websites or types of websites do you use or prefer (specific brand/company online stores, general online retailers, etc.)

Amazon, Parts Express, New Egg,

annndd lastly....

8)When you shop online is it usually because you are looking for a specific item or do you just browse and if you come across something you like or want you buy it and what makes you make that decision to actually purchase it?

I only shop when looking for a specific item. Computer shopping is no different than brick and mortar in that regard. I'd rather have a root canal than go shopping.
