Default NBA MVP?

I am a live and die Laker fan. I think enough people hate Kobe Bryant, and that keeps him from winning an MVP title. He has always been too selfish to win, but this year, he has made his team better and is the clear MVP in my opinion. What do you good folks think (for those that care)? If Kobe doesn't win, I don't know what an individual has to do to win it...

i hate the lakers, but i love kobe...what paul is doing in so little time in the league is pretty spectacular as well...i think paul deserves it, but its a popularity contest so...kobe ftw

Kobe is # 2 on my list, and you know i dont care much for him Voodoo, but as i think we have discussed before i am open and realistic about stuff. However i cant look away from what Chris Paul has done. That team came from no where and looks like they are gonna finish #1 in the rough as hell west. He drives that team, is putting up insane #'s, even more assists and pts per game then Nash in his 2 mvp seasons, and honestly i dont think without him the they even come close to making the playoffs. Granted that last argument could be said for Kobe, but i still think he has a better team and coaching around him. If i got a vote it would be Paul, with Kobe a close 2nd, and Lebron a distand 3rd.

CP3!! If your a die hard lakers fan why do you like Kobe? Didnt he spend the off season barking about how he hates playing there and wants to be traded, just saying i hate how "prissy" he is.. just play the game.. and thats what Paul does.. thats why i like him

and he played for the OKC Hornets.. haha

Kevin Garnett anyone? Sure he's not putting up the numbers he did in MN, but that's part of the sacrifice he's making to be part of one of the best trios to date. He'san amazing defender
and extremely consistent. The Celtics won 24 games last year. Look at them now, 62 wins and the season's not even over!

It is going to come down to Kobe and CP3. I was listening to ESPN radio and they put it like this. Name the 5 starters from the Hornets, and I could only name 1. The Lakers should be this good because they are the lakers. They have Kobe, Gasol, Bynum although hurt right now, Kwame is ok, and many others I cant remember because I dont watch the Lakers. Someone already said the Hornets would be nowhere if it were not for CP3 and that is very true. Lakers without Kobe could easily still be a .500 team so that is not to big of a drop. CP3 deserves to win more than any player this year. If he doesnt than it shows that it is not the MVP award rather a popularity contest for the largest markets.

LeBron before Kobe. LBJ had Kobe beat in a lot of stats and on every meeting he outdoes Kobe.

ummm lebron team inthe west would be a low seed...so he hasn't done much to make his team better.

kobe has so much talent around him he should be doing better....only time lakers did nething was when shaq was there...

kevin g has turned that team around 180 but again with 3 allstars on his team they should be the #1 seed...

chris paul.....don't really get to see alot of thier games but to be the #1 seed in the west...with the players around him... gatta give him the nudge....
