I tried to get my wife to buy a sportbike. Now she wants the Sporter 883LOW. I have a Cbr1000rr. I would like to see her on a sportbike but we will see. Plus she is only 5'3 120lbs.

Congrats man, riding together is awesome.

My wife got a <cringe> Suzuki Boulevard S50 earlier this year, and we have been riding around
like an odd-couple all year. Its been great, but somehow wherever we stop, people always talk with her
and ask about HER bike. Oh well, such is life.

Enjoy the rides, it'll be great.

Well, if you sent a posted a picture of your wife and one of you, I am sure I would rather ask her about her bike too. I may not even be aware you are there! I sure wish Honda had sent the CBR 250 or CBR 400 here. My daughter is looking for her first bike and she is as dyed the wool Honda as I am. Size of bike for her is not a problem (6' at 140lb) but me (Dad) wants to see her on a little lower HP than the 600+ bikes offer. I am old school, we started out on 90's and graduated up in size.

We tried every bike. Nothing fit her tiny frame except the Harley 883 Low. She was able to have both feet planted with no problem. She also could take the bike off the kick stand with no problem either. Still wish they had smaller Cbr's rather than the 600. I rode the 400rr when i was in Thailand (1997) Those were cool. I wish those can be street legal out here just like the Aprilia RS250. Oh well I am still hunting.

What size dirt bike or quad do you think she could handle safely. I was thinking the crf150 and the 250ex.

Well we got it. '05, 1295 miles on it, MINOR scratches, $1200 bucks. The wife is stoked beyond belief. After riding my 600, that thing feels like a go cart. She's already named it "Precious" as in..."my precious"

and then the two....

Awesome... My brother has a EX250 just like that. He has the two-brothers exhaust and it actually sounds tough. That bike is the best thing to learn on, I did and everyone else I ride with has. A+ choice! She's gonna love it! (But just wait until she hops on the CBR... lol. Then you'll be in the hunt for another super-sport.)
