Does someone need to smack a....

hehe

Just kidding.

Ever seen a video of someone getting hit by a car? Guess what's the first thing that happens... their shoes fly off. Then consider that happening while you skid even at 30 mph across pavement in your socks. At the very least, high topped steel toe boots can be gotten for like 30 bucks at walmart.

I actually got a good deal on some A* waterproof boots for $70 over the summer. Not a bad deal if you ask me...

Not the best video, but you get the point...

Admittedly, not the best video... but I've heard of this phenomenon before and it seems to be a fairly regular occurrence, as police are actually taught to determine a point of impact in cases of pedestrians being hit by referencing where their shoes flew.

I saw a great video which illustrated a while back, but I'm lazy and this video came up really quick on youtube and it's good enough for me. lol

theres pix of a guy on the dragon that went wide n into the other lane n into the side of a car/truck. You can clearly see his 'tennis shoe' flying off. IIRC he end up with a broke foot n leg. I'll see if I can find those.

I'm sure I can find plenty of other pix that will convince her otherwise too, tho she may not eat anything for housr after viewing them lmao

Surely you can afford to at least head down to wal mart and get a pair of cheap steel-toed boots? It's better than sneakers and other low-top shooes bud...

just google "de-gloving" of the foot..

the FIRST thing to fall off is your shoes when you crash 90% of people can kick your shoes off let alone having the force of a bike fly off.

your bones in your foot grind down on the pavement instantly and you'll never be able to walk correctly again

my feet are the LEAST place besides my head that I would skimp on riding gear.

besides..

shouldnt she be in the kitchen making you a sammich anyway? hehe jk jk
