Well the Harleys are not made for speed, but going through congested areas how fast would you really want to go to a call. Asmittie84 your right during heavy traffic the motorcycles are much better getting to calls then patrol cars. There is no where a motorcycle cannot go, within reason of course. During a motorcycle instrictor school we ran these Harleys through sand, mud, water, off road, in the cone courses and its actually suprising where these motorcycles will go.

Honda has the ST 1300 P which is a Police package. I don't remember the agency but I met a guy that had one and liked the performance but most agencies will not purchase a motorcycle. Honda dosn't offer any type of lease.
Yamaha does not offer a police package to my knowledge and it does look like it would fit the bill just fine.
BMW has the RT 1200 P, I think thats the model. Everyone that I talked to with these love them but they are expensive and the lease is a lease to own. The payments are expensive and then you have a lump sum to pay at the end of the term. After just 21 months my Harley has almost 30000 miles on it and with the lease we just return to Harley and the have to deal with it not us. With milage like that the resale from us would be next to nothing compared to what the actual value is.

The Harleys are equipted with "plug and play" wiring which allows us to plug our light packages right in and not have to run all kinds of other wires, the BMW does too and I'm not sure of the Honda.

Well I'm still tring to learn how to post multiple pics in one post instead of one every post so sorry about the scattered out pics.

Okay, Im coming out of the closet. I have a (gulp) Road King ex cop bike. They are amazing at parking lot speed tight *** manuevers because of the forks behind the steering head construction.

It has raised board mounts and skinny alloy boards, RaceTech fork guts and 1inch taller rear Works Performace adjustable gas shocks. I will not bore you with how I came to own this bike, but it was supposed to be a short term thing. That was three years back.Never thought I would have one of these, but I actually kinda like it. With the supension mods, it's kinda like dancin' with a fat chick that can really bust a move
