Default My uncle Gary Ward in a MX2 Stunt plane.

This is a Video of my uncle Gary Ward in a MX2 Stunt plane he helped design. He's a Aerospace Engineer and has been flying planes since age 16; he's now 66 years old. The plane has a 540ci. flat 6 engine with 350+ HP.

That is amazing, I can't believe that such a lightweight craft can hold up to such violent forces. Some of those move made me think that a wing was going to rip off.

He didn't qualify in the one in Spain by a fraction of a second, but lent his plane out to a friend who placed fairly well.

The whole plane is Carbon Fiber. The wing is one piece, connected by a 4inX6in plank of CF honeycomb. He pulls over 10G's!

i used to fly a pitts special back in the day. wasn't all that good though. I never did get my aerobatic rating. hell, i can barely keep my CFI current. don't fly much anymore.

His first stunt plane was a Pits, but he blew it up like three times. Then he got a Giles 202, then helped disign the MX2, which is lightly based off of his old 202. Both are experimental.
