My new boot
I'm pretty happy! Wasn't too bad of an injury in the end, I've managed to make it without missing a day of work, and I didn't hurt the bike. I was also reeeeally glad to get out of the house
I'm going stir crazy.
Man, this has been one long-*** summer
I'm still in the removable cast:

and I've lost a ton of muscle in that leg:

Getting closer though. Looking like mid-september I'll be back on the bike.
We tried shaving the seat; it really didn't end up making a difference for me- the frame is just so much wider under the seat, that's what really inhibits my getting feet on the ground. I was really pissed to discover that I can flat-foot my fiance's gsx-r 600. So, for the time being, we're going to drop my bike an inch, with the expectation that once I'm more comfortable again we'll raise it up.

That's what I'm hoping/counting on- that by the time I'll be experienced enough to notice I'll be comfortable enough to just do tiptoes again.
The only problem with tip toes is you can't sit on the bike and push it around easily, especially on a slight incline. I watch my girl struggle with that occasionally. Get comfortable pushing the bike around without sitting on it
