My first 600 miles
So far so good. 600 miles in under 2 months. Im riding whenever I can. Cant find much around here for twisties to practice on, but I'm still looking. There are some great places at home, but since I work on the road I dont get to see them, just once since I got the bike. Still tweaking the bike a bit here and there, and fixing things the P.O. screwed up.
Been working on my riding position lately, pushing back a little farther in the seat, tweaking out my high speed tuck. My tuck probably looks a little goofy, since I'm 6'3" trying to squeeze behind the windscreen...butt way back, elbows closelining animals on the side of the road. I'll get it though.
I'm definately glad I took the MSF course at the local Harley. Good info for a new rider.
Actually hit 12,000 rpm for the first time yesterday. Was cutting through a warehouse district and no one was around so I did a decent first gear blast.
I just ordered a cam jut for the bike. Once it gets here I'm gonna ride around some of the curvier roads to get an idea of how much I'm actually leaning into turns. Figure it may help to tell me what I'm doing.
Glad I got the CBR, rides nice, runs great, parts arent retardedly expensive.
Good stuff
