Default My experience at WCW in NJ

I went to WCW (Washington Cycle Works, a bike racing shop) today and had a wonderful experience! I got my bike suspension done and boy does my bike handle a million times better now! They tuned my bike to my weight and it costed $35.00. I am totally pleased! I mentioned to the people how some recommended that I lower my bike due to my height. Just them doing the suspension was enough for me to change how I was riding. As soon as I pulled out of the parking lot, I felt the difference in turning, braking and overall riding. It almost was as if my bike was lighter and more manuverable. They told me there was no need to lower my bike, although I wear bigger boots, they said I touch just fine. They also said the way my bike was set up was allowing the front to bounce more and the back end to be lighter - meaning I brake hard, my tail goes up. That is also b/c I don't have enough weight to keep the bike down, but that is all fixed now!

Here is the site and if you want to order anything.

Glad to hear you had a good experience. Wish I had a good shop like that around me. Mine sucks. I would like to have someone set up my suspension for me, $35 seems like a great deal. I just want to make sure i get mine setup just right. Problem is finding a good shop that you can trust to do it right and not just screw you and take your money for nothing.

it's awesome to have such a helpful shop around. the closest one to me is an hour and half away. glad the suspension is set to your liking. i did mine myself using the "guess and check" method and it took me a while to get it right. proper suspension set-up is probably the most overlooked performance modification. now we all need some pics of you draggin some knee and all will be well!

LOL....I tell you that one little mod, had me riding different the whole way home and for the rest of the day. We left to go there about 10ish and got home about 5:30. I'm so glad I did this b/c my bike feels so much better all around. BTW this shop was an hour away from me...well worth the ride!
