Microsoft recently released a statement saying "1/3 or 33% of all xbox360s have been defective"

I have had mine since the launch and have had zero problems thus far *knocks on wood* except once in forza II the game just froze while loading the next race, nothing to do with the system though.

From everyone I know that has sent their 360 off, Microsoft will still charge you for labor.

im on my 2nd 360, first would not play halo 2, and now my new one is not playing h2 either, dunno why, but i have not had any other issues with it at all. when i sent mine off, sent it out on monday, got it back on friday, no month long wait for me, i dont know why everyone else is waiting a month. they even said they couldnt fix it and sent me another one. i also did not pay for labor or shipping. ranger, in the beginning they were doing that, and if you had to pay for labor or repairs on hardware failures, they are reimbursing everyone retroactively.....so i dont know what you are talking about.

i have also logged countless hours on forza and had no issues with it freezing like i have been reading lately.

Ya I forgot they stopped charging for labor but they were in the beginning. Thats why a bunch of people were threating stores at were they bought theirs to take them back. Amagine being the person behind the Electronic counter say that its not the stores policy to take them back. Hahaha. I'd be handing them out like candy so I dont get my *** stomped after work. LOL.

You got it back so fast cause they gave you a new one. If they could have fixed it, it would have takin longer the get back.

The 360 runs a software emulator to run xbox games. M$ went dumb and didnt do like everyone else and use a sepereate chip for running older games.
