Mustang GT vs. Cobalt SS
^^ Couldnt agree more. My buddy has a 01 24v cummins with his shyt blocked off, injectors, free flow from turbo back making about 32psi, its real fun to spool it up against some civics and see their face when a 4wd long bed long cab blows them out of the water. Plus under full throttle it will literally leave you in a cloud. Black smoke of course.. I know I know its bad but its still fun.
BOV. I figured it wasa toss up on benefits. With the bov i do get a bit of a rich spike when i shift, alhough it does not seem to effect anything. If i go to intake then i am just recirculating more "hot" air into the engine instead of getting "cold" from my fenderwell. So all things being fairly equal i went bov, its much cheaper, and i love scaring the ricers with it
OH and i prolly didnt mention its charged not turbo'd for what its worth.

Cobalt, 205 horsepower, 2880 weight = 156 power to weight ratio
Mustang, 300 horsepower, 3373 weight = 195 power to weight ratio
Thats if my numbers were correct. Might have done it wrong.

Niether one has mods that actually do anything. Cobalt has K&N and no exhaust, Mustang has cat back but no intake. You do one ya should do the other to make em work right.
Mustang: 300 hp@ 5750rpm wieght is 3480 lbs
Cobalt: 260 hp@ 5300rpm wieght is 2970 lbs
Looks like the winner is going to be.... The better Driver.......

Stock its running 205hp.
LIke I said, with a compitent driver, the mustang should win EASILY. And I'm not a fan of stang, just stating the facts...lol
sorry to thread jack for a minute, but with a BOV u can vent it to the air if the BOV is before the air metering device (MAP, MAF) most honda cars use a MAP at the TB putting a BOV before the TB u can ent to the air. on a 1st, 2nd gen DSM u haveto move the MAF from right behind the air filter down the intake tube so you can put BOV in front of the metering device, or you hae to blow off back into the intake tube to avoid the rich A/F ratio for that split second
