Must see locations?
What are your "Must see" locations? US and otherwise are all welcome.
Mine is The Grand Canyon from Shoshone point. Sticking out on a tiny point of land with no one around you and a 330 degree view of the canyon.
Took the shots yesterday and stitched it together last night.
This is the heavily shrunk(1,000x200px) version of a large photomerge I put together.

SLOW INTERNET WARNING: DO NOT CLICK THE LINK BELOW
The full size copy is about 10,000 pixels by 2,000 pixels, and available at the link below. It's over 15MB, so it may take a while to download. I apologize for any artifacts that are in the large image, I didn't feel like taking the time to make it print-perfect.

The canyon really is an amazing place. If you ever get the chance to come out here make sure you get away from the developed (read: sacrificial) areas, it really makes all the difference in how you see the canyon. Shoot me a PM if you're ever interested in coming out, I'll get you in and show you around.
man, that would be amazing but no can do.... have 4 kids and a wife. no time for vacation and no money... your offer is sweet, thank you very much.
i have been to the grand canyon and have seen a very big stretch of it. i have seen it in the summer, does it look different in the winter???

Yes and no, the canyon itself doesn't change(go figure), but it looks really cool with snowcaps on the top of ridges and the opposing wall. We also get really awesome temperature inversions where the canyon fills with clouds to just below the rim, but the sky above it stays clear.
Not my pic - Canyon with snow.

nice view! i've done the 101 in california from monterey to los angeles and i thought it was pretty nice. takes up little more than 1/2 the day for 1 way but there were some nice coastal stretches as well as bridges and winding mtns.
