Music when riding
I have a riding playlist that consists of mostly metal, but there's also Modest Mouse, Deftones, A Perfect Circle, Editors, Rush, Blue Oyster Cult, Thomas Giles and a few other odds and ends. I don't ride listening to music very often though, especially if I'm gonna ride semi-aggressively.
Audioslave, Clutch, STP, Rage, Tool, RHCP, Deftones, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Stones, Doobies, Grateful Dead, Sublime, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Paul Simon, Clapton, Cash, Floyd, etc. Whatever I'm in the mood for. Not a big digital music fan. Never have been.
Ipod classic... front pocket w/ v-moda buds.

No music for in-town riding, but I do for twisty rides.
I listen to a little bit of everything from Sinatra to Rob Zombie. Can't get much more diverse than that.
When I hit the canyons/mountains, I like to have something going that pumps the blood a bit.
I use Skullcandy ear phones. They're great for running too.

Don't listen too often, but when I do it is All That Remains, Job For A Cowboy, Pantera, Metallica, Incubus, Shadows Falls, As I Lay Dying, Avenged Sevenfold, System of A Down and all Country Music...Pat Green especially.

i listen to a little bit of everything. been mainly listening to A7X, SOTY, 3 Days Grace, Hinder, 30 Seconds to Mars and Red Jumpsuit. music like that really pumps me up while riding. I use SkullCandy 50/50's and love them. they have the controls like the iphone headphones but way better sound and a whole lot more comfortable.
