"MSF Tips" update
Hey
I posted a thread called "MSF tips" a few days ago asking for some pointers on the course. Well, I passed it today.
The first part of the test was the figure 8. I ****ed it up badly.... I did the first U turn just fine, but went wide on the other U turn, freaked out and put a foot down. So that's 8 points deducted.
I aced the swerve, and aced the quick stop. In between those two tests, the most skilled guy in the class managed to dump the bike while lining up for the next exercise. Right after he aced the first two. He was instantly DQ'd.
1 point deducted in the "cornering ability" test for going too slow.
Overall it was a great experience. I went from knowing absolutely nothing about bikes to being at least confident enough to go to a parking lot on my own and practice. But anyways, I highly recommend this class to EVERYONE! Awesome course and awesome instructors (luckily.).
so yeah thanks for your pointers everyone on the previous thread. it did help settle my nerves a bit.

Lol congrats!
No worries on "The Box". I went back for the ERC a year later, which requires you use your own bike. I did the figure 8 in the box designed for the BRC 250cc bikes with no problem. Just remember what you learned. Get used to doing it on your bike.
And have fun with your new lifestyle

I just took the Intermediate riders course this past Saturday, and it was a blast... I should be getting my license soon, but the main thing was I learned a ton. I got a total of 5 points on the Skills test, but i'm really not to sure what for.
I'm considering the ERC... How much does it differ from the intermediate?

Congrats! A pass is a pass and I don't imagine you'll be doing too many "emergency figure 8's" irl. Welcome to the sport and keep in mind, "Remember your training and you will get out alive!"
Oh, also, cool car in your avatar.
I was told by the instructors that it's the same as the third day of the BRC, except its on your own bike.
