I really can't see it doing that much good. I am not bashing safty but this is probably not the best aproach.

The link was to a Deal's Gap knee dragging video, but airbags on bikes seems like a good idea. Instead of flat-out hitting the car, the airbag pushes you over the vehicle.

Speed doesn't kill, the immediate lack of it does. Keep the rider moving and the rider will most likely survive............jacked up...........but alive.
