haha...no, but ive browsed the goldwing on the honda website, its got so many features, its like a car missing 2 wheels...its amazing

I can definitely see where it could help...

But what kind of an ipmact sets the thing off? I mean, I can also see potential for low-speed crashes being made worse by an airbag deploying...

you know... you still have that airborn factor even with the airbag... If your going fast enough, that airbag is not gonna do ****. Just skim the top of it and fly 20 feet in the air.

 

From the test results, I was actually quite impressed with how well the airbag did.

At first, I was like "WTF? No Way!" Then the video slapped me in the face with "way!".

If they put a little more research and development into it, who knows.

Also, I just thought about this. Say your hauling *** and hit a car. The airbag delploys, but it's not going to keep you from flying into the air. ----BUT!----- you'll skim over the airbag so you don't hit the car, but fly over it. This would result in having only one impact (with the pavement) versus two (car, pavement) or three (bike, car, pavement) impacts.

If they further engineer this and perfect it, this could mean the difference between being paralised from the accident or walking away.
