My bike is a project on wheels. It recently got pushed over by some jerks while I was at work and I haven't had any mirrors since. It's been a good 2 months now and nothing yet. I live in an area with a lot of cops too. Just take it easy in busy areas and they shouldn't give you trouble.

I dont have mirrors and havent had any problems. Although my sister is a cop and I ride with other cops so that can help. I guess it depends on your area though.

Mirrors are good for making sure your elbows are still there.

Never had 'em on any of my bikes. No problems in 12 years!

Don't think you should have a problem. I see all kinds of bikes without them and no problems.
