Nope! No new bike till I follow through on this one to the end. It became personal a long time ago

And I actually like the weight to the older bikes

In a nostalgic kind of way.. it'd be cool to be able to keep your first real bike and be able to go out and appreciate it in 30 years..

Then again... soon as I can buy an late model RR straight up with my F3 sold.. she's gone. Old girl's just tiding me over til my next obsession...

Its true! My F2 is getting to that point of nickel and dimeing my way just to freaking sit on the bike. After this new right side fairing im not doing anything but tires and oil. Im saving my money for a new 600 of some sort. Honda for sure though.

dont get me wrong, buds , I know money dont grow on trees and ive never owned a brandnew bike.that being said, if i didnt have the money for a nwer bike, id do what i could to ride , even if its a F3 i found in the ocean in a cast net and i worked on it more than it ran ....... Just like to see a labor of love not a beast of burden , pain in the **** project that will never be a like-new bike again no matter what. Smile and ride out.peece

I'm not gonna sink the entire PECO refund into it. But a new fairing stay, rear brake lever and more paint supplies are mandatory. As frustrating and annoying as she can be, my bike will always have a place at my home.

As far as new bikes go, they too new. Nothing to tinker with. Yes I'd have fun riding one. But a lot of the fun, for me, comes from finishing or fixing something on this bike.

When time and money permit pic up a parts bike or two. The money you save by doing so is amazing. It allows you to put a set of tires on the extra set of rims, rebuild a second set of forks, paint up some extra plastic.
You might even be able to get a couple of runners out of the deal. That is what I've done with the hurricanes I own. One original , one streetfighter , and one for parts.
