Default Lost a muffler on the highway...

So I was humming along down an interstate when all of a sudden my bike starts to sound a bit louder. I figured it was just my ear plug had become dislodged. As I'm getting on the off ramp I take a look down and notice most of my right side muffler is missing. The guts were still there, I had muffler packing flying every which way, but it seemed the sleeve and end cap were long gone.

So I get to my friend's house and we removed what was left and the good muffler on the left side and rode home with open pipes. The bike felt wrong, but it sounded like I was riding a race bike.

Problem is that although I love the fact that my bike puts the ever lovable straight piped Harleys to shame with open mid pipes, this bike is a commuter. I don't have stock headers so just buying a set of slip ons probably won't fit with the Akrapovic headers... I'm kind of in a bind. Someone suggested Akra might still have rebuild kits with end caps and sleeves so I'm going into work with a lot of hope for tomorrow.

you can make a custom pipe with packing that you make yourself for the time being

but i'd just keep an eye out for someone that has a wrecked system on ebay that will work for you that you can get on the cheap.
