i live in hagerstown md and i am not sure if it is all of maryland that does this or just around where i live but they made all registered sex offenders put a sign on there from door that said something along the lines of "no candy here" in big bold letters. but the main thing that they do is have a meeting in an undisclosed place with councelers from 5-9 in the evening that any sex offender has to come to or they will put a warrent out for there arrest. i think this is much better then trying to go to all of there houses and checking in on them. theres no need to check in when they are all right in front of you! also there has been 100% attendence this year and last for the meeting
