Im posting this for a friend (really my friend and not me, he is also interested in getting a bike) He is worried that he wont be able to get his M1 licence. During the first year of having his car he got three speeding tickets. Hes had his licence suspended a few times and he doesnt get his class c licence back until september. So my question is will this effect him taking the msf course or getting his m1 licence at all. and if it does how so? Just curious cause i would love a friend to hopefully ride with this summer.

 

Well..here is your answer..I have to clear up a ticket before i can even take the written test..so if youre friend has a suspended til sept....might as well either contact a lawyer or forget about it..No valid drivers license no motorcycle/CDL...just the rules of the game i guess.

 

i dunno if you would want your friend on a bike. Seems to me that he's not yet ready for it. Trust me, i was there, n i knew i wasn't ready. But seems to me that he isn't. Having your license suspended more than once with less than a year of driving experience....to me that right there puts him in the bunch where he shouldn't be on a bike because he'll most likely hurt himself......

 

+1 If he has that many tickets he better be rich otherwise he will NEVER afford insurance.

 

The MSF class required a CDL before we could do the driving.

 

if your in california your going to need an SR22 for insurance and 250 for that "exclusive" to and from work only license
