Because this area is a holiday resort in the main , we have 6 really nice pubs here within 10 klm..
and un tolled cafe / bars every where
I do not do the pub / club scene at all though....
This one is a bloody ripper though and has to be my favorite for a quite drink and meal with Kerri.
The famous Portsea Hotel is situated on the Portsea Beach, amidst some of Victoria's best Golf Courses & Wineries, & is the ideal destination for a day or a weekend away. Enjoy the very best that the Mornington Peninsula has to offer such as the Point Nepean National Park. In addition take pleasure in the many Sports & Leisure Activities, such as, Scuba Diving, Horse Riding, Dolphin Swims, Fishing Excursions, or Sailing.
A leisurely stroll in Sorrento shopping for Arts & Crafts, Antiques, or a night at the Cinema may be the relaxing alternative for your time away. Then really spoil yourself back at the Portsea Hotel with our friendly staff, wonderful food & the serene ambience of our spectacular views of Port Phillip Bay & surrounds.
The Sorento Hotel also 10 min away from where we live..

Im a bit like you Steve, there a 4 pubs within a 5-10 minute walk, Stretch it to 15-20 minutes & god knows how many there are, maybe 30 or so? I'm not in love with em enough to take pics though. I got hammered two weeks back in one up the road, listening to a cover band (ACDC, The Doors etc) Supposed to be a hang out for the Nomads motorcycle club, (or Gonads as they are known). Not taking into account the two Bowling clubs, RSL's (2) Rugby clubs (2) & the Sailing club or the 4 bottleo's.
If drinking in suss company is your thing, then this area is well catered.

Nice guys they must have been mate ...
These days , I only go to the pubs during the day and during the week here and only for a meal and a quite drink with the misses ...

i go to the bad pig saloon. though i never drink and ride when i go i drink soda and when i drive i only have 1 or 2. the story behind it is the guy who started it supposedly a cop who got fired. i think its a pretty cool place becuase although its predominantly a Harley bar all bikers are welcome and every one gets along really good and although we all crack jokes about each other its all in good fun.

Some great pictures of your locals guys :-) ..Steve, yours is awesome right on the beach, love it!! .. I am not a night lifer myself these days but a nice lunch out at a country pub with good company is what I enjoy now ... the times I have gone out clubbing or pubbing, it gets to about 12am and I just think oh hell everyone looks about 12 and speak a different language these days ..I just want my sofa, cocoa and slippers ..lol

but like you we do not do them at night when they get rocking, .......as I said we only usually lunch at them when they are nice and quiet ...during the week...
The views from them are spectacular

Jumped by several guys after drinking for quite a while ..
He received gashes to the head and face the story goes ..
That pub has allot of local tradies as regulars and they know how to party hard
Someone must have gotten in someones face hey mate
That's why I never go there on weekends or evenings with the misses..
