Default Lets see your local pub??

Heres mine, the Dysart Arms .. this place does great food and has a roaring log fire during winter .. I love popping in here for a nice
ploughmans lunch before an afternoon ride ...

Do you have pubs in the same way we do over here or do you just call yours "bars" I seem to hear bandied around a lot??

Jules

I enjoyed going to the Rose and Crown while I was over there. Nice place and descent food.

I should be going out tomorrow night, and if I do I'll try to borrow a digital camera to grab a couple snaps. We do generally call them bars in the states, but if it's an Irish place, etc. we generally call them pubs.

Jules, don't rub it in! I haven't seen a proper pub since I left Blighty! Besides, have you tried American beer? Thank God for moonshine!

ummm, we have lots of places we go to that are called pubs. for instance, we normally take a trip around the world and hit up boston, london, and cabo! really, first we go to the Boston Pub, then London Sub-N-Sub (no more subs =( ), and then we go to Cabo's, its a club.

i dont have any pics of outside, but this is inside of London, aka the lubby wub, tug-n-pull, pump-n-dump.

From what I noticed all throughout Europe more people tend to eat full meals at pubs whereas here that happens more at "sports bar / hooters" type places, the rest are predominantly for drinking and snacks
