Left Turn Victim
The only thing that matters here ... is you posted this, just that and nothing else ... bikes no matter how valuable to us or how much we love them can at the end of the day be replaced, but we .. well, we have one shot and you're still here ... that's a result in my book, hope it is in yours too .. rest, heal, and enjoy the downtime ... READ!!! :-)

here are a few cell phone pics i had my wife forward to my email. i would take some of my helmet now but the camera on the phone didnt survive the crash and i have no idea where the wifey keeps the other one.
this is the bike the day after the crash at the tow yard.

this pic doesnt really do the bike justice. the subframe is tweaked about 2 1/2" off center at the tail, the swingarm is bent, you can kinda see the forks in this pic but they are bent almost all the way back to the headers and to the right. (the wheel is straight but the handlebars are in the position they would be to lock them.) the top engine mount is bent all the way in the stator cover is crushed and there are a few cracks in the engine case around it. theres more i just dont remember it all right now.
this is a pic of the road rash on my knees at the hospital about 3 hours after impact.

Like i have said before. Gear saved my life!! the doctors told me flat out that i would be either A) Dead, or B) a vegetable or at the very least paralyzed. i really encourage those that dont wear helmets or any gear for that matter to take a moment to seriously reconsider. ATGATT.
ill get some pics of the gear when i can find out where the camera is and i can muster up the energy. i swear im gonna have arms-o-steel after hobbling around on these crutches for a few weeks. lol

Here's to a speedy recovery, and not so speedy impacts!
Any idea how fast you were going on impact?
And I do loves me some Percocet. You know. . .if you have leftovers. . .

Oh man, that looks like a hairy crash. I'm happy to see that you came out intact. Sucks about your F2, it's sad to see those old bikes get twisted.
Do you wear knee pads? I won't go out without at least an armored jacket, knee pads, gloves, boots and a helmet. It sucks in the summer, but it sucks less than getting gravel up in your knees.
