Default Left Turn Victim

EDIT: Please understand im under the influence of percocet when writing this. gimme a break...lol

On my way home tuesday afternoon for a doctors appointment. Heading westbound on McDowell Rd. and a lady in a jag made a left turn in front of me. I realized i was going to get hit and then i did. didnt have any time to react at all.

My left leg is broken and some of the smaller bones in my left foot are also fractured from impact. aside from a lil road rash on my knees i made it out in relatively good shape. GEAR SAVED MY LIFE!!!! my helmet has two cracks in it one on each side going from top to about where your ears are. the jacket and gloves saved my upper body from any major damage. and my work boots saved my feet from any more damage.

I dont remember much about the accident other than i was going to get hit, then EMTs talking to me. i was told i did a barrel roll about 4-5 times and stopped moving when i reached the sidewalk.

spent the rest of the day in the trauma unit at the hospital. they released me about 10 last night and ive been in bed all day today.

the bike is toast. my brand new plastics look like they spent a few weeks in a blender. the whole left side is gone(from impact) the engine case has several cracks in it. the forks twisted way outta whack. and the frame is bent all to hell.

ill try to get some pics up in the next few days. im not moving around so good at the moment so it may take a bit.

Stay safe out there and watch out at ALL times.

ATGATT. helmets save lives. saved mine!

Damn boss, I wish you a quick recovery. That just reminds me how much I hate stupid people behind the wheel. Just glad for the most part you are ok and everything is intact. Again I wish you a quick recovery and hope you get riding again soon.

Hearing things like this makes me wonder how people can refuse to wear a helmet.

Pain sucks. But it tells you you're still alive. And some helpful doc gives you legal drugs too Good job coming out of it alive.

Hope your bike went down fighting and tore the chit out of the Jag

Becareful with that percocet. A co-workers ex-wife just passed away because of the side effects (nausea + sedation = bad)...

Glad you are okay though.
