I've never seen an lcd monitor/tv burn in. NEVER.
Also tearing is when the hz of the tv and console/pc arnt matching or your vid card is pumping out too many frames for your monitor/tv to keep up. Thats when you turn on vsync on your pc game. Of course I dont know what consoles put out in hertz, but usually the tv picks it up. Which is usually 60hz.
