Ok guys, I plan on painting my rear tire huggers to match my bike, rather than the drab black plastic look. What type of paint should I use? (probably gonna go rattlecan for the best price) Since the colors are purple/yellow/white, that's probably what I'm going to be using for now

Start of with an adhesion promoter, use auto grade paint (dupli-color/rustoleum), then clear coat.

If you want it to stand out, then the white or yellow would be best. If you would rather it blend with the majority of your bike, purple is the way to go. I think any of them will look great!

You can get the original hugger for it, which is silver, goes well with the frame & swingarm.

I think I'm going to make the major part of the hugger white, and make the chain cover yellow, but I'm going to have to look at it, because depending on contours I might want to make more detail (since tire huggers are where EVERYone looks for detail)

And I'm going for the cheapest option Pace, so rattlecan is all I'm settling for

Krylon makes a paint specifically for plastics called fusion. It's in a rattle can and you can get it at any wal-mart type store. It will never chip and flake. The only thing I can think of is to check the color match first but this stuff gets my vote for anything plastic. Follow the directions on the can as well.
