INSURANCE COMPARISIONS
I live in Minnesota and live in the Saint Paul area. I live in the second if not the first WORST zip code area although to me it's a pretty decent place than other spots in the city.
I have not received nor gotten any ticket in 10+ years.
My"Comprehensive" insurance every 6 months with $500 deductible on my car with the following companies:
State Farm $700
Progressive $630
Geico $530
21st Insurance$520(hidden fees = service fees and othersabout $20) so really $540
What each of those companies wanted me to pay for Comprehensive insurance on my'07 CBR600 RR every month are:
State Farm $40
Progressive$175
Geico $150
21st Insurance $ We're sorry but we only cover in the state of CA and only IF you have car insurance with us to begin with.
Remember CLEAN driving record for last 10+ years AND WORST zip code in the city.
Car is every 6 months where as motorcycle is every 1month.
I have House insurance though State Farm (too lazy to change it yet)
Car insurance through 21st Insurance (will be switching back to Geico after 6month thingy is up)
Motorcycle through State Farm
Insurance is cool IF you don't have to buy it but you want to like in the state of Wisconsin. I think insurance is a scam really when forced by law on people.
Of course I would still buy Comprehensive insurance on my car and bike though whether it was by choice or by law. Can't afford to have it get stolen.
Speaking for the slaving poor who still need to get to work though paying more than $100+ a month to insurance companies on a $100-$2000 car is not worth it.
Rich people already buy comprehensive insurance "like I do, the bought comprehensive thingy" to cover our asses from the ones that cannot afford to pay us in case we all meet up in an accident and to cover our butts in case its actually our fault whether or not they have insurance.
I only wish Minnesota politicians will pursue and pass a law requiring insurance companies to based the rates NOT on credit history nor zip code like CA did.
All they need to base it on is whether or not you have received any tickets !!!
Anyways the point here is to shop around because the insurance company you have right now might be good for one type of vehicle but

RE: INSURANCE COMPARISIONS
I had house and car with state farm. I was being billed $150 a months so I let it lapse 1 week while I was (lazy) looking for quotes.
They dropped me even though I offered to paid in full the remaining 2 months too.
I said ****'m...Geico is awesomely cheaper.
My friend's wife just became a state farm agent so they called me up and since they being my friend and all I got a quote with her on my bike and Voila! almost 70% cheaper on bike with state farm. So I went with them on bike. I got a quote thru her too on the car but it still came up to about $640 so I stayed with Geico.
Switch to 21st from Geico but had I known about the hidden fees I would of stayed. Switching back to Geico soon.
It could be that I had a crappy State Farm agent in the first place. I hate dealing with Asians. Don't worry I AM asian so it's oki

I live in Blaine, MN which is north of St Paul a bit but not by much. I'm 31 - with a clean driving record and just bought an '08 CBR 1000. I'm paying $252.00 a year through State Farm with full coverage and $500.00 deductable. I do have a car with them as well.

Texas
Geico. Was paying for liabiltiy $50 a month. That included uninsured motorist accident.
Full coverage they wanted $200 a month with a $500 deduct and $160 with $1000 deduct.
I'm switching to allstate. Liability with unisured moto is $38 and I can add a medical plan to it (they subtract the one on the plan and add it) and it covers not just moto accidents but accidents any time, on bike or not and doctor visits. Also covers all kinds of surgeries and pays you if you are diabled for 6 months.
Full coverage with everything and $1000 deduct is $112 a month. I guess I'll wait till I'm 25 and see what full coverage is then.
