Killer Potholes
Last night I was following my freind down a side road, not speeding or anything, and I hit a GIANT pothole. I saw him swerve around it but I didn't see it in time and if I tried to go around I would of caught the GIANT edge and flipped over, so I just braced myself. When I stopped I looked over my bike to find that the front rim was flat on one side and the edge of the rim was bent completely back towards the center of the wheel. I was very surprised that it even held air.
So anyway it sucked and I hate NJ roads.
p.s. If anyone is selling a cheap used rim for a F3 let me know.. I need one pretty bad right about now.

you can charge the state for the damages, technically it is their fault for not keeping the roads well kept, same thing happend to a buddy of mine and he bent both rims and both tires lost air but he still managed to keep it upright. You should have taken pictures etc of the pothole and the damage it did
like space said sometimes you can get the city or state to cover your damages, i hit a huge pothole in my 95 prelude a while ago and cracked my front right wheel and bent my back wheel, not to mention a little suspension damage, although it did that because i had low profile tires on 17" rims, but the city covered alot of it, i didn't get what i should haveto replace the rims, but i look at it as a good thing, now instead of new rims, im getting a bike

By the way, good luck collecting. The liberal Massachusetts hack-o-rama I have to live with will laugh you right out of the state if you file a claim.
