Default Just wondering what you guys do if you need directions

So i've been thinking about this. When i'm in the car and going somewhere for the first time, i go to yahoo maps and print out directions. Obviosuly i'm in the car, so i can read the paper n drive at the same time. But what do you guys do while on a bike?? do you the directions to the gas tank?? or do you stop, read the directions, n then go??

there's tankbags with clear map holders. I don't have one yet, but that's what I would use.

Get a GPS... you won't believe the roads you find because you don't have to worry about getting lost. I've explored some awesome roads that I probably never would've taken if I didn't have the GPS. They are kinda pricey, but I've had mine a few years and used it in 2 different cars and 3 diff bikes now.

If i go someplace really far away, im normally with alot of riders and atleast one of them knows the way. otherwise I just print the map out with mapquest and I get off and read it.

I would just put the map in my pocket and pull out as needed. YOu can probably remember a few parts of the directions at a time and then go from there. GPS would be nice but costly.

Short trip----> Memorize

Long trip or one with allot of turns----> Play Quarterback.... Cut/Paste from Mapquest into word or something, adjust font so it fits on a 4x6 area....print it out, stick it in a ziplock bag.....electrical tape it to your forearm....Direction side up.......I hate tank bags but hate getting lost too....
