See, not to ruffle any feathers but running low RPM's until the motor is broken in and everything gets seated is a load of crock to me, unless it's a fresh rebuilt motor. The manufactuarer has already ran it and put it through tests, which while doing so put the motor through it's break in period. IMO run it how you normally would and you'll be happier with the end results.

EDIT: Alright, after reading the article it would be apparent in power and wear.. Still wonder why they tell you to go so easy on it though.

I've actually done this before with a 306 car engine before, but on the new bike i'm not sure what the previous owner did for the first 700'ish miles he had it, but the last 1500 or so haven't exactly been "easy" hahah
