I am by no means trying to be a smart *** or anything along those lines.

Have you seen the tv show called *the Unit*? if so is that sorta of what you do? I know you explained it^, however I wasn't following it all. You said you were stealthy and don't cause want a lot of attention turned your way, and that is what they do in the show? The show is the only thing I really have to compare to your description to.

just curious...

So are we like the unit to some degree the answer is yes most of us have advanced training and are limited by the amount of material we can. Bring to bear

First let me say, the company that I work for prefers to hire former special ops personnel and 90% of these individuals are US-born.. Some regular former US military are hired and brought up to speed

private military contractors provide a variety of services. This particular service I'm referring to is a PSD ( private security detachment) which may be protecting a convoy or individual the object is to move the client from point A to point B. with as little discomfort as possible to the client and the civilian population, and to avoid collateral damage . But because of the reputation my company has earned. We receive a hell of a lot more harassment then lot of other companies because they know we are less likely to engage them. Because of the company's reputation

when transporting individuals. There are two basic types of methods low-profile, which consist of native dress. Common vehicles usually not armored. The secondary type is a high profile convoy, which consist of vehicles may be as large as cougars or buffaloes but more than likely will be heavily armored SUVs. A high profile convoy, the majority of the vehicles will be armored and well armed equipped with lights and sirens and visible gunners
Private military contracting companies provide other services like guarding facilities. This may come as a shock. Most of the military installations in the sandbox or guarded and patrolled by private military contractors. There is no need to have regular military personnel standing guard duty. When they should be resting and preparing for outbound operations most of the advanced training, and foreign weapons training are handled via PMCs we will not do the fighting for you, but will help provide you with a skill set necessary to get the job done as an example. Dyno corp has the contract to train Iraqi police officers in the international zone, and the international zone for the most part, is under the jurisdiction of the Iraqis and PMC's they are authorized to use lethal force, when individuals fail to comply with rules and regulations. So are we Death Dealers . Hell yes. In theory do PMC conduct CAG operations ? in theory undercurrent guidelines No in the real world. Do they participate in these type operations, hell yes but only very limited scale

Seriously. And that's just a brief overview. HC revealed the specifics of an incident he was involved in, and it made my eyes pop out of my head when I read it. With all due respect, this guy is on a level of experience that is unimaginable...

All joking aside brother I'm nothing extraordinary. There are thousands of guys operating worldwide with as much or more training than I have. And with as much practical experience, as I have or more and I did nothing in the situation. We discussed that anyone with a sense of righteousness would have not done if they had been put in that particular situation. I do appreciate that you hold me in such high regard. but I am nothing extraordinary. Just the average individual, who operates in this environment. There are those whom I consider my peers with skill sets that just amaze me

HC you are a class act. Being former military and having a military family background, USA, I hold service members in high regard for doing what ever they do.

Nauree, you only have to scratch yourself in most African countries, and you'll get Tetanus anyway. If the world had piles, I suspect Chad is where the ***'d be !
Not a pleasant place, even without the crap going on ATM.
Chad it is a very interesting country ranked in the top 10 of the most dangerous places on the planet. hell it's ranked higher than Iraq andyou are five times more likely to be killed there traveling the country. Then you are in a Iraq and it take some serious negotiations to navigate the country. sometimes you're negotiating at gunpoint. Sometimes you are negotiating with currency sometimes with pure bravado because you're not negotiating from a position of strength or knowledge of those you're encountering capability a lot of times. We had to make our way all the way across the country to a national game preserve and back the UN was of little help and the local Army in the out reaches of the country are nothing more than armed rabble but made it two and back with minimal use of force

Okay. Let's say there are 2,000 HARDCORP's...(actually I bet it's closer to 400-600, worldwide)...

There are around 6,000 astrophysicists in the world, which means they literally number one in a million...

So...for every three million people...there is one HARDCORP.

Now, you can tell me that you are not extraordinary, and I do believe that that state of mind is a psychological requirement of your job, but you cannot tell me that the percentage of similar human skillsets you represent (0.000000333)equates to an average person...

If I want music, I call Doodoo......
If I need a pilot, I call Red600 or Flyou
I call Ffingers for legal opinions
But I'll call HC if I need someone on my 6..........
No offense, Spirit or Shocktroop and many others here..........
Everybody has a skillset, it's just the application of that skillset that makes it
so much more visible in your case, Gunny, and the consequence of error so immediate and permanent. You deal in death daily, which is what fascinates us all.............
Me included.
