Some of you need to read on Sportrider.com the article on going from a 180 rear tire to a 190 rear tire for a bike that calls for the 180. The contact patch is different from the two. With a bike that is setup to run a stock 190, there is no sluggish feel because the bike is already setup to handle the larger tire. Most if not all 600's are stock 180's. It's been a while since I read the article but if my memory serves me correct the tire height on a 190 is a tad lower than the 180 (on a stock 600 rim) causing the bike to feel sluggish when diving into a corner. The tire seems to give (in height) because the rim needed to support the tire carcass is not present. Thus concluding today's class.

 

wow i just witnessed the same kind of accident last week. Guy i was following on a ducati went too wide on the turn, hit curb, and over the handlebars he went. His jacket slid up so his intestines were starting to ooze out This guy was a very experienced rider on his 3rd ducati and wearing leather jacket, gloves, and helmet. Just goes to show anybody can go down and NONE of us are invincible.

yeah there were little holes and popping through was the intestines.. don't wear loose gear
