Just another statistic......
Some of you need to read on Sportrider.com the article on going from a 180 rear tire to a 190 rear tire for a bike that calls for the 180. The contact patch is different from the two. With a bike that is setup to run a stock 190, there is no sluggish feel because the bike is already setup to handle the larger tire. Most if not all 600's are stock 180's. It's been a while since I read the article but if my memory serves me correct the tire height on a 190 is a tad lower than the 180 (on a stock 600 rim) causing the bike to feel sluggish when diving into a corner. The tire seems to give (in height) because the rim needed to support the tire carcass is not present. Thus concluding today's class.
wow i just witnessed the same kind of accident last week. Guy i was following on a ducati went too wide on the turn, hit curb, and over the handlebars he went. His jacket slid up so his intestines were starting to ooze out
This guy was a very experienced rider on his 3rd ducati and wearing leather jacket, gloves, and helmet. Just goes to show anybody can go down and NONE of us are invincible.
