Sorry no chip experience.

Probably a waste of money. No experience, just an opinion. The $300 or so that they cost can buy a fair amount of gas.

They're not a waste. I remember every 4x4/pickup that was done on TRUCKS or that offroad show on the powerblock would always install one. Last time I checked on JET they have 3 stages of chips.

1. For stock application vehicles

2. Mildly

3. Heavily modified.

You can tell them everything you've done to the engine and transmission (they can add different shift spots I believe) and they can install a map on the chip just for your setup.

They Improve fuel mpg. But it takes a while to make up the diff. I knowa few peoplewho threw one on their trucks. They said it was worth it. And they noticed the power. A guy whoI work with threw one one his diesel. Said it gave itmore power. But then he found better chips and programers and took the superchip out. Its up to you.

My opinion waste of money. Take the 300 and get a real dyno tune.

I'd go with a programmer over a chip.
