After I took my kids and shot through from my ex misses ...(13years ago)
It took me 18 mths to date again ..single dad ..a bit of shock from my splitup ..ect ect
but then after that ...
I used Communicators like ICQ ...had 5 ladies in total in 2 years ..2 serious one's ...one even moved 500klm to live close by ( that was a worry guys!!
) .... a couple of one night stands ..
Then got together with my misses now , Kerri-Ann ...7 years now ..and all very good still
Some hang **** on the net for dating , but me, I think you pick and choose better from 1604 profiles than just 4 in a bar or night club ...

I tried it a few years back before I met mywife.. I met my wife on my bike, not in the internet... thankfully...But, all I found it good for was one night stands. Seriously, every women I met had so many issues.. hmmm. maybe they had issues because guys just slept with them and didnt call anymore.... I dunno...But I was always up front about my intentions. but women dont listen... ...I had a few stalker issues with one.. thats when I said no more..

i met my ex fiance of 3 years on myspace. was great for a while then other things happened... oh well.
my current gf the only way that we met in the begining was through the computer. we were introduced by her aunt who is a friend of my family. my gf living and working in vietnam couldnt come here yet so we talked and got to know eachother then we started to click , i went to go see her in vietnam and we fell in love. we tallk on the phone, emails and webcam . so having a long distance relationship online can be possible too.
and honestly i find gettin to know someone a little online before meeting in person is a nice way to be more honest and get the awkward 1st introductions out of the way . better then a bar imo

Near the same as me mate ..... the net is very good in so many ways like you said ...
If guys were smart , they would realize that you can learn allot about people from text , that you cannot at a bar or club half bloody drunk ...

joking aside, i think the internet can be a good thing.....and a bad thing when it comes to relationships.....it probably ruins just as many as in creates....but if i was single....id probably hit it...lol.
