Buying it back to part out is also an option. Major components like engine, fork, brake systems, etc. will easily cover the cost of the bike before you even get to the bits and pieces. Biggest factor is if you have the space and time for it.

I do have the space will have to do some calculations and see if that would be a better option. Just hard because ive grown so attached to my bike!

Any suggestions regarding getting the most out of insurance as far as aftermarket stuff goes? bike has slip on hid's undertail kit zero g screen flush mount signals. i have the stock exhaust i could swap back out. I they said they would compensate for the aftermarket stuff maybe 20 cents to the dollar? so am thinking take the slip on off as a 400 dollar pipe at 20 percent is only 80 bucks.

Want the highest payout value of the bike and the lowest salvage buy back price

I don't suppose they would permit simply removing the aftermarket parts without replacing them with something else, would they? All of those parts used are probably at least worth 20% MSRP.

I would stick stock parts back on. Normally this kinda stuff wouldnt be worth the hassle but considering im a full time college student with minimal time to work my bank account likes to hang real real low so like to do what i can to be conservative while still being able to enjoy the things i like.
