Ok...here is the update. Turned out when he has given me the quote he did not run my driving record. Now after he did my quote went up to 181/mo with 478down. That is 2469/year. And it's 1000 deductible. Still better than other offers I could find so far. However, I have a friend who works for the Farmers Insurance, she promised me to call tommorow. I hope she can work things out for me, if not, then I really don't know.....may just get a comperhensive coverege with a thieft protection and start riding more carefully(which I should anyways), hopping I'll be ok.

No, state farmers won't take me due to my 7 year old DUI. I got insured today full coverage through Planet, they are brokers, the actual insurance company name is Lincoln General, $2469/year+$30 I spent at the Kinkos faxing papers. Now about my friend, she called me to take all the info, then her boss called me with a quote.....ten freaking grands a year for full or 1500 just for liability. I told her that I was quoted at 24(hundred), she asked me 24? 24 thousand? That really pissed me off, but I politely finished our conversation. Who would want to pay $10000/year for a bike that cost this much? You better wreck it the first day so you won't pay insurance for nothing

Well, now I can ride confedently that my bike is covered. I know my life isn't so I better ride safe.

I dont understand how insurance companies can charge soooo damn much for insurance. I mean if your bike costs 8 or 9 grand, why would anyone pay like 2,000 for insurance? It's rediculious and doesnt make sense at all. Insurance companies are scumbags! And even if you have a couple tickets, which most of us do, that sends the rate through the roof, and in this day and age you cant ride around without insurance, so we are forced to pay crazy premiums. If we are forced to pay such premiums we should just wreck the bike after a couple of months just so that we can get our money's worth for having insurance. LOL
