A lot of it depends on where you live too... remember there are only 825,000 people in the entire state... our accident rate is one of the lowest in the nation. I mean comeon what are we going to hit, cows?

I've shopped around and I've been quoted from about 2,200 - 6,000+ per year for full coverage. I've seen some people post up for under 1k for full coverage! How and where do you guys get it so cheap?![sm=helpout.gif]

- 2006 CBR600RR
- STATE FARM - FULL COVERAGE - $73.00/month
- $250 DEDUCTIBLE

I'm under 25, Las Cruces, NM....(CLEAN RECORD).......Not meaning to bash on anyone, but why would anyone EVER ride these things without full coverage? (especially if you're still paying on it!). It's common sence..............second nature............SMART!

And, yeah, I got horrible quotes too........

Progressive............$5190/year.
Gieco.....................$8500/year.
State Farm.............$2300/year.
Local Place.............$7120/year.

I put my car at liability only (car is worth $1000 bucks), then put my bike under the same account. (State Farm requires you to have a car insured to insure a bike.)

If you are paying out your *** for insurance because you have speeding tickets, moving violations, etc................well...............you have no one else to blame but yourself.

well heres my thought about not paying $3000/year with $1000 dectuible. Thats $4000 min if i wreak.... thats half the price of the bike.... in two years i would be able to save that money that i would pay for the bike and fix it or buy a new one.

It dosent make any sence to me for the insurance to be that expensive. well it does because we have those people who feel the need to be stupid on the bikes. I just got libility on my bike and it cost me $180/year extra when i put it on the same policy as my 250 Ninja

Thays not how it works. If you pay that a year, they coverthe KBB amount for your bike, not just what you pay. IF that were the case there would be no point in having insurance because you might as well just buy a new car if you were going to pay the sae amount.

If you get full coverage, no matter what you pay it covers the KBB plus any extras you claim before the crash (atleast here).

Have you looked into comprehensive?
