Insurance claims on Kawasaki Ninja 250
Perfect world would have peeps starting on a 50cc dirt bike before moving to the street mochines.
Regardless what you are on, it is smaller than a SUV. Non bike riders are lazy in that they do not
watch what is going on. I think new riders suffer from this also. Paired with a lack of skills it is
a wonder that more newbs do not get squished.

i started on a 750..it wasn't all bad i had 13 years of playing in the dirt prior.Granted the street is a completly differant game yet very similar all at the same time. i think riding experince going into your first street bike also plays a factor. not to say i didnt crash that bike a couple times. but as said earlier ebay is the place to go. i busted my radiator, shifter, shift rod linkange thing (thats a technical term incase you were wondering lol) passenger peg mount and rashed the fairing pretty good all in my first fall. the day i got my license actually. had it all fixed for 50 bucks minus the fairing. a little welding and the local cycle salvage. i dont think i should have started on a 750 a 600 would have been better. but i did absolutly love that bike ( if any of you recall my why i miss my kawi thread). and i got a bike that was blue booked at 5700 for 3500 and it was flawless when i baught it. i guess this doesnt really go with any 1 argument, im just saying that prior experince can play a roll in your first choice. for the record i AM NOT ADVOCATING STARTING ON 750 or liter or even a 600 for that matter
My wife has an 08 250r for her first bike. She has definitly learned the basics of riding on this more forgiving bike....but, on concern of mine is the way you can twist the throttle on that bike compared to a bigger bike. Throttle control is one thing she would have to learn all over if she were to switch to a larger bike.
