insurance ?
hay im new to this site and yah i don't have a bike yet but by the end of the summer i will but my question is roughly how much is insurance for a CBR600RR? im 19 1 speeding ticket 1 seatbelt ticket live in ill and i'll be going cheap so i'll get liability if i can, thanks. oh yah it will either be an 05, 06 or a 07.

damn and i thought i had a bad record with 2 tickets (21over and 22over) how do you ahve 6 tickets and still have your license? i need to hire a lawyer to keep mine and ive only had 2.

You really need to call around for quotes BEFORE you buy the bike, for certain years and on certain bikes insurance premiums are especially high, with your age, a ticket on your record and the type of bike you want your going to end up paying out the bum, sorry. Depending on where you live it will vary, but none will be cheap. If you get a loan for the bike then you have to carry full coverage for it, (loan agreements require it). Alot of people pay as much a month on insurance as they do on the bike payment. When you get actual qoutes from the agents you may find you might want to consider something with lower premiums. A few hbundred bucks a month for someone in your age category for full coverage on a RR that your making payments on isn't out of the question. If you buy the bike with cash, no loan, then you can carry whatever insurnce you want, but even just liability might be more than you want to pay, and carrying just liability on a 05 or newer RR that you'll likely lay down at least once while getting used to the bike and riding in general isn't really a good idea. Might want to consider another bike if it's your first one. Anways, good luck and hope it works out for ya.

Well it was mostly because my friends dad is a pretty good lawyer and he had worked with the d.a. before so he hooked me up. I had a 24 over, a 30 over, reckless driving, no seatbelt, driving after 9, umm and 1 more little one that i cant remember. but everything was reduced and the reckless driving was completley dropped. and as far as the license goes, i will be on a restricted liscense for 60 days starting april 12th lol but w.e.

Also liability only is retarded on a bike, if you just bought it and lay it down, you are screwed out of what you just spent thats just dumb. Dont go cheap on your rates either if you get the cheapest you can get and you seriously injure someone, then your probably gonna be paying out of pocket for their bills.
I have a 250,000/250,000/500,000 policy with state farm and like I said I have 5 tickets, and a 600cc rocket. and I'm only 19, Also be sure to ask about the discounts, thats partially why mine is so cheap. I have a good student discount and that knocks like 30$ off right there.
