Yep, no insurance/registration/DL/etc. is most likely the reason for the impound regardless of the inaccurate info you say was on your report.
I don't know IN law like I know PA law, but I'm pretty sure an officer isn't gonna give you the "have a nice night" under these circumstances. Imagine if he knowingly let you go, and on the way home, you wreck into someone without insurance.

Regardless, many people here have already said enough about your lack of appropriate paperwork/coverage.

What I find more interesting is this:

and my info wuz at my house cuz i got a folder that holds all my cars registration and titles i just sold a car the other day hints the info not bein in my car.
So does this mean you were technically driving SOMEONE ELSE'S car..... with no insurance?
I don't get it.
What else I don't get is your use of the word "hints".

Aww... don't sugarcoat it. He might come here one day and we wouldn't want him to die of shock

Philly cop woulda used the Live Stop law to impound the vehicle (no insurance / registration). He'd then use the vagrancy law to lock him up (no id). The bureaucracy would extended this period while they 'establish his identity'. The hope being if they kept him long enough, he'd be unable to pay the towing + storage fee. Meaning the PPA get to auction the car.

+1.

I got pulled over today for rolling thru a stop sign with no one around. It was my fault but i had all the papers for my bike. A few mins later he just let me off with a warning.

So what have we learned from this? If you were to first spend money on insurance and registration you would maybe be out like 200 depending on cost to register. The cop may have let you go with just a warning. Or you wouldnt have been pulled over in the first place. But now your out more than that with possible points on your record which will cost more. Sorry

Hear in Florida, where I work as a deputy, I would’ve took you to jail and booked you. Impounded your car ect. Consider yourself lucky, I give you no sympathy, just be glad you wasn’t in Florida. Not trying to be harsh but the whole “protect and serve” thing kinda gives it away, I know people go through rough times but having expired plates, no id or proof of insurance is a dumb move. Although probably a mistake, a dumb move, just think if your plates wouldn’t have been expired you probably wouldn’t have got pulled over. DUH!
