sweatpants yeah yeah but any pants would have torn. trust me, i push the gear issue too. but i dont always wear my A* track pants unless im going on a long ride or plan on playing on the back roads. but otherwise its always boots, jacket, gloves, helmet.

jd, sorry to hear you had to sell and now feel worse and cant get another. but im also sure you know how i feel right NOW. i feel like i need to give it up, apperantly i suck at this, lol.

spiritrr.....yes, i ride it EVERYWHERE. bikes are my daily driver and the 'ol pickup sits. bikes are (were?...) my life. in 15 months i've clocked (between F4i and RR) 34k miles. and im taking the "hug my tears" senetence in the most manly of manly beer drinking titty motorboating, vagina loving way i can, friend. hahaha, thanks Spirit.....always throw some kind words in w/ something to get a chuckle aswell.

to everyone else, thanks for the kind words once again as i post yet another accident thread [X(].

Damn it Jason... not again!![:@] Really sorry to hear it bro.... I know now much you were loving your new bike. Really glad you're OK though... the bike can always be fixed. Hey they say bad stuff happens in threes, so hopefully this is your third and final time down, at least for a long long time.

Don't let it get ya down.... it happens, and often happens more so to those of us that ride alot like you and I. Hell I ain't gonna lie, my bike has been down more times than I can count on one hand.... almost all just unfortunate instances. I went through the same little spell with mine... back in December 2004 when my bike was 1 month and 3 weeks old and had only 5700 miles on it, I was out with some friends. Sitting at a stoplight I got whacked in the head by some crazed drunks, lost my balance and over she went on the right side. I thought I was gonna cry seeing my new bike all scratched up.... about a month later (January '05) got a brand new right fairing from Honda, as well as a few other parts that got damaged. Went out one night and put all the new parts on, had her looking like new, then put a new rear tire on as well. The NEXT MORNING I go to leave for work.... it's about 50 degrees out and kinda humid. I pull out of my community onto a busy street and make a right turn, and soon as I went to accelerate (slowly) it was like hitting a patch of ice. The bike looped around 180 degrees and tossed me off, and it went sliding on the left side. I was soooooo pissed!! Got her all fixed up again, then in August '05 I went down on the highway, which was NOT fun!!!! [:-] Did $6000 damage to the bike, but I fixed her up and kept on going. March 2007, 3 months after I did my split seat tail swap, I got rear ended at a stoplight by an old geezer in a new Mercedes. Luckily no damage to the tail (phew! it was the first thing I checked!), but some other damage was done. It worked out good cuz all of the remaining damage from the previous drops was fixed under this guys insurance, heheh. June 2007, 6 months after doing my split seat tail swap with a nice freshly painted black tail, I was coming home and hit a large patch of sand in the middle of a sharp curve, lowsided on the left and rashed up my nice new tail, fairing, nose, ect.

I know it sucks cuz the bike is damn near brand new, but just chalk it up to experience, get her fixed up and keep going. It happens to the best of us, and and the more you ride the more of a chance you have of having a drop. Just part of the game. Don't beat yourself up over it.... so long as you weren't hurt, it ain't no big thang

Jason, keep your head up. These things happen especially with the mileage you put on your machines. I know you're probably thinking right now to yourself why me ? or the bike wouldn't ever be the same... but the truth is..with time you will have your babylookinglike before, if not better. My RR has been out of commission for 6 months now going on 7 and its just now coming to a finish $2+k later. After laying it down, I set a mission to get it back up and better then before while using the off time to educate myself.

Someone once told me...your bike is a tool that you use to better your riding and tools are going to show wear.

Here is another good site I found for OEM parts

http://www.hondaparts-direct.com/fiche_select.asp

GLAD to hear your ok!

sorry to hear that man. change your ****box tires for some good shoes and get back on.. Might as well leave the battle scars for awhile. No need to replace it all right away. At least not until you get new tires.

All I can say is it sucks to dump a bike......period. And yes as cliche' as it may sound, at least your ok, the bike is a fixable item.

You do know why we fall down don't you...?
.
.
.
.
So we can learn to get back up.

Don't let this get you too down. ****ty things happens to the best of us and you can't let that stop you from doing what you enjoy.
