can i still send it in if sumthing goes wrong with it to get it repaired like ring of death or sumtin? im thinking of trading a guy on craigslist my bmx bike for xbox 2 controls and a game or two. thanks.

 

Never had an issue with my xbox so Im not certain on this... but usually any warranty is only good to the person who originally purchased the item.

 

I traded a friend my old psp for my 360 and still managed to get it serviced when it red ringed, just as long as it is still under warranty.

 

I think you have 3 years from the date it was registered andI'm not sure if you can re-register the xbox to you if the other guy already registered it. If microsoft tries to screw you over on it, you could always fix it yourself. There's fixes on the internet on how to do it. It cost around $5-$10 or so...

 

I bought a used one and Microsoft fixed it for free.

 

are we talking original or 360? you didnt specify....

i haven't cracked open my 360 (hope i never do)

but i did replace my CD-rom drive in my original xbox....it was a cake walk.

 

Very few have issues and I know the M$ does back them very well.

 

in case you do run into issues, might be a good idea if the other guy could send you the reciept for it as well if he has it.

 

Get the serial number and see if its already been repaired.

 

i asked for receipt but he doesnt have it but he has orig box and everything. ill prob trade him for it when he gets back in town. thanks guys.
