I've found a set of noise canceling earbuds - mine are Phillips - are more comfortable and effective than ear plugs. I don't listen to music when riding, it's too much of a distraction forme. Just havingthe earbuds in andturned on does the job. Batteries and wires are kind of a hassle, though. Tinnitus can start early, it's been my companion since I was four or five. Ear aches, ear infections, ruptured ear drums all took their toll early.

I'll have that sometimes with my phone. I keep hearing it after its done ringing.
This doesnt happen as much as it used to but when I'm in the shower I think I hear someone calling me. In junior high and high school, I'd always think my dad was calling me.

I get the "Locusts" sound from time to time. Starts loud then fades off. Annoying.
Also if its "dead" silent, I can pretty much make my ears do the high pitch crap.
