Default I rode a Harley yesterday

My dad's neighbor has a few bikes, all cruisers. My dad's been borrowing one of his Suzuki Intruders, and is thinking about buying it. Anyway, they were going on a ride together yesterday, and invited me along. I said sure, and expected to be riding my Hurricane, but the neighbor offered to let me ride his wife's Road King.

The bike is huge and heavy, as you'd expect, and takes alot more effort to steer than a CBR. It's also incredibly easy to ride. It's comfortable, soaks up bumps, stable, and alot of fun. But it's so damn big! And you can't drag a knee! Actually, I touched the floorboards down to the pavement twice in our 25 minute ride, something the owner said he's never done.

Anyway, it was a very different experience, but if I ever trade in my sportbike for a cruiser, you can bury 'cause I may as well be dead.

riding a cruiser is a whole nother thing.....and riding a Harley, well....it just says you have more money than your own identity.

I do enjoy riding a big cruiser out through the county ever so often. It nice, relaxing, and peaceful.

People try to compare sport bikes with riding a cruiser, and you just cant, In my opinion, each has there place.
which one is better totally depends on your state of mind at the time.

Anytime I put my feet forward on a motorcycle I feel reatarded. It just isn't natural.

TOTALLY!!! I took my MSF on a little 250 dual sport. Even with my feet straight up and down, I had to get used to it...just felt completely wrong and uncomfortable.

Well I have a Goldwing and the old Honda 750K3 and recently sold the Honda XR350R. I also now ride a F4. They all have their place. There are times I would much rather be on the 'Wing than the CBR. There are times I would rather be on the CBRthan the 750 and how can you compare any of these bikes to the XR?
