I bought my bike from craigslist. Great outcome, honest guy. No complaints. I went to his house, trusted him. Just be skeptical until you feel comfortable.

I bought my f3 from CL no problems. I did have my golfcart forsale one there and this guy would email and text me about bottom dollor and then he wanted my address for his tom tom. I told him two call me and we will work out the details never heard from him. I think I saved my cart from getting stolen

Default Love CL

I bought three bikes from craigslist (priced @ 1900$, 3800$, and 6100$), and have sold two. All sales were quick and painless, since I only deal with cash. All my ads are up front and very detailed. My current bike (1000RR) was posted by a seller at 10:30AM, and I had it in my garage by 2PM. Also bought a cell phone.

It's what eBay USED to be.

this is what i hate most about craigslist...

'I'm serious about buying from you, so i want you to take the Ad off
Craigslist.I live in South Dakota ,i know you will be surprised that i
am looking outside.Out here i couldn't find good ones cos they live
an old school life here ,let me say it's a laid back place.I am here
due to my work ,i should have brought the one that i was using in New
york but i thought i would find a better one thats why i sold it.I
will mail you a check as my mode of payment, and as soon as you cash it
i will get movers to come move it from your door down to mine.Get me
your full name and address with phone number(s) so as to send the
check out..I hope doing business with you.

Regards,

Donald.

I've had nothing but amazing experiences on Craigs. I went to pick up my new bike (2000 f4) w/6300 miles for $2700, and left my car there (it was about 7 miles away from my house), took the bike home. About an hour later a guy (from craigs) came to check out my old bike (04 ninja 250), sold it to him for 1500 (pd 1400 4 months eariler on craigs, and dropped it). He didn't have his license yet, so I had to drive it to his place. Anyway, his place was about 3 blocks from my car, so it all worked out.

I've also done a ton of trading/selling of guitar stuff, with great success.
