I dont know what to do?!
HenryM- Your right. I know i have to spend money on stuff like that but i was just debating on spend it know or try selling it now.
raylee-Good idea. I may as well start practicing now while my bike doesnt look so hot. haha Better to start on a old F2 than a new RR. lol
Well i made my mind up. I think ill keep it put the new things on and get new fairings in the next 3-5 months.

my vote goes to just rejet the bike and ride it ugly.
You're married so you're *#$(@## in the "my bike has to look cool so it's easier to pick up a chick" therefor you are not impressing anyone with it so who cares? Save your cash and buy her something for the bedroom and everyone will be happy!

But yeah after back tire and sprocket ill be getting a jet kit and after that fairings. Im going to ride this bike till it dies. And i mean WHEN IT DIES! Not me bein dumb on it. lol
Blimey Roger,
I bet the after market sales figures for ****** have gone through the roof since you pointed that out. Proportionally the OEM sales have probably plummeted.
It's a tough call but I have heard through the grapevine that genuine Honda parts just don't live up to their spec in the bedroom.
Anne Summers has carved a niche in Honda extensions, add ons and strap ons (Google search).
Perhaps it's the one time you'd actually be glad of knocking big ends.

one of your options is exactly what im doing now.
i have a 94 f2, 32xxx miles 4k of which i put on. spent the last several weekends getting some of the smaller loose ends fixed with very little money out of pocket. just some ingenuity and elbow grease.
the plastics were scrapworthy when i bought the bike. and i wasnt sure if i wanted to replace or not.
with our income tax return, i ordered new plastics (ebay), got a new set of rubber, chain and sprockets (-1,+2) and i got rid of that ugly tail section and got some new rear signals.
i swear with that sprocket change its like a whole new bike, on the ride home i literally said "holy crap" to myself. Highly recommended....
still waiting for the plastics to arrive but am really looking forward to it. the only other thing i would like to get is an exhaust but trying to figure out how to convince the warden of that one is still a puzzle.
the way i looked at it is i already had this one, and it was paid for... for a few more hundo, i could have it how i wanted it. if i sold it for a newer one then i would need more money to make up the difference, then still have to fork over even more money for the upgrades and tweaks to get it how i want it. (i for one am always tinkering...)

and , well look at the bright side , after you do that you will prolly be single and then have to ask no one or anything ...LOL
I have a rickety old 2008 cbr1000 that I want to spend a few dollars on... any tips for getting the warden to loosen the purse strings?
You could certainly use Steve's method. (It sounds like a win-win...
)Or... you could combine methods and buy something nice for the bedroom and try asking nicely at just the right time.... LOL.. (then kick some azz when the answer is still "no"... cuz it would totally be justified...
