Sorry for venting everyone, but I am in a strange motel room tonight because of my job, and I am glad I have this forum to turn to for some comfort and normalcy.I will beaway from home three days and two nights this week. This is day and night one, and I hate it already. I am a total homebody!

So I am in Bandon on the Oregon Coast...Hwy 101. This is a very nice coastal town, and I calledseveral of the motels to see what their single occupancy rate was. Most places were about $80+ per night, but I decided to save the company some money andchose the *Shooting Star Motel* for $44 including tax. This has to be the worst motel I have ever stayed in.

Upon check in, I opted for a smoking room so I couldhave a cigar and watch my beloved Lakers on the tube tonight (Baby Jesus loves the Los Angelas Lakers ). When I entered room #7, I was not happy with the smell. It did not smell like thirty years of stale cigarettes, but morelike a dead body wasstashed underneath the bed. They were so kind as to have a Renuzit in the room to hide the odor. So,my room smells like an apple-cinnamonflavoreddead guy. Really Shootin Star...a ****ing Renuzit?!?! The other problem I have is the size of the room. If I stretch out my arms, I can practically touch both walls. Not really, but close. I have no way to post a picture of this room that has mold in the bathroom. If you guys never hear from me again, it is because I got murdered at the serial killer motel on Hwy 101. I will be the new stinky dead guy underneath the bed.

As ofnow, the Lakers are up about ten points before the half, I have gotten used to apple-cinnamon corrupt flesh smell, I got served a meal by a chick that looks like the new terminator girlon TV (smooshier booty, but bigger boobies), and I am about to spark up a Romeo & Julieta cigar...I might be alive tomorrow. Wish me luck. I just hope someody...anybody else checks into this motel tonight. Much love sent to the CBRF!!!

P.S. Because of my love for this forum, I will stay here again in two weeks just to show everybody what a turd the *Shooting Star Motel* is...if I don't get killed tonight...

 

Shooting star eh? :P Up north we were in a rural *** area looking for a hotel and all of the signs said stuff like "Good heat!" and "Cable TV".. so we decided to stay at one that, no joke, said "No noisy electric generator" on the big sign.. so as you could probably guess it had no generator at all.. yeah, no electricity.. lol at least you can learn from this experience.

 

My wife and I stayed in a hotel that sounds just like you are in after a long day on the bikes. There were no other hotels or motels around with a vacancy... The room smelled bad and the decore was the same as the day it opened in the early sixties. It was so bad that wa slept in our leathers on top of the blankets. My favorite part of that place was it shrinking in the mirrors as we drove away.

 

Just imagine if youshined an ultra-violet light in there; all the littlestains thatwould come alive in the dark. [sm=insomnia.gif] Specially on the bed covers...
On a serious note though, be wary of bedbugs. They're nothing to laugh about, and it sounds like that placecould potentiallybe a prime breeding ground.

LOL this story almost reminds me of a story my health teacher told us back when I was in high school. He said him, his wife and son went on a trip somewhere. They stopped for the night, and when he went to check in the person at the desk asked him if he was going to be more than 30 minutes [:-] He really didn't want to stay there, but they were out in the middle of nowhere and there was nothing else around, so they did anyways. But soon as they got in the room, ALL the blankets/sheets came off and they used their own stuff

maybe next time you'll know better then to "save your company some money" stay at a 5 star hotel and eat some lobster... get a massage with a happy ending... the possibilities are endless.

Luckily you forgot to pack your ultraviolet light[:@]cause if you did you might want to sleep with the dead guy under the bed instead of on top of it.
