There's the old saying...There are riders who have crashed and riders who have yet to crash... I've been in 2 myself during 10 yrs of riding. My first was a 20 mph lowside thru an intersection with small gravel and sand in it. Not to bad, a busted clip-on, rashed exhaust, engine cover and a cool new pair of torn jeans.. My second was a 70 mph rollercoaster ride thru a left hand sweeper while trying to avoid bambi and an oncoming car. I decided the right side ditch was lesser of the evils and proceeded to cartwheel myself and bike from about 50 mph.. $6200 in damage (totaled) and sore as Evil Kineval for a few weeks.
Lets hear some more stories, I'm sure there has to be some good ones out there..

How many have went down since the last thread asking, "who has wrecked?"

Threads like these give me the hebejeebees.

i pulled one off that sounds almost identical to your second one..except i got stopped by a tree at 50 mph instead i was in the hospital for a few days with a broken pelvis, broken left shoulder. torn rotators cuff, shattered right knee.. and multipul stiches all around my body. adrenialn was so high i actually was able to "walk away from it tho" then i just fell down in the ditch for a few hours at 2 am untill someone decided i wasnt just resting

 

oh yeah..that was last august..still repairing the bike to this day[&o]

 

I have gone down twice.Both low speed Thank God,The first time was when I was making a left hand turn at a 4 way stop.A truck in front of me had spilled some diesel (that I couldn't see on the asphault) and as I went thru I hit the diesel and slipped.Dislocated shoulder,bent bars,scratched fairing and broken clutch lever.2nd was on a cold day with brand new tires made a turn and went down,again scratched fairings no damage to me.

 

Yeah, I don't know. It's the same thing when my woman watches L&O SVU...or CI, or FUQ, or whatever the hell it is...WHY WOULD I WANT TO WATCH A SHOW ABOUT MURDERED KIDS---JESUS, CHANGE THE GD CHANNEL, THERE'S THREE HUNDRED OF THEM, PICK SOMETHING VAGUELY UPLIFTING---LIKE SPEED CHANNEL...AND MAKE ME A GD SANDWHICH WHILE YOU'RE AT IT...

 

Wow JD, I should be thankful I was able to walk away without broken bones or stitches. I was also able to ride that same road again the next day on my backup bike (starter bike). I had to get back on the horse, my dad wrecked years ago and hasnt been able to ride since and I didnt want that mental block screwing with me like it did him..
